Our Story.

We’re building a new way to connect Black creatives with career defining opportunities and resources, whilst cultivating community spaces & connection.
Our Journey
The road to Deya has involved us listening to the landscape. In response to the career-shifting impact of the pandemic, in 2020 we launched Connect; a free training programme for Black creatives who were at risk of leaving the industry.

From the participants: “I needed this so, so much and i can't wait for other artists to join, develop and grow the way we all have. i am so excited to push myself forward with the knowledge and support you have shared with us.” Shanay Neusum-James

"Being in a Black creative space has been a beautiful experience for me; learning from these incredible artists in the industry telling their own inspiring stories.” Adiza Shadow

The programme kickstarted new careers and pivotal long-term relationships. It made such a meaningful impact, that we have since been developing a new offering that allows us to support Black creatives on a bigger scale.

This offering has been shaped in consultation with Black creative talent who have a vision for change.

With support from WeTransfer's Supporting Act Foundation and Arts Council England, we are building Deya, the home of Black creatives.

We are currently inviting Black creatives to sign up to our waitlist, ahead of our launch later in the year. We can’t wait to show you all that we have in store!
